A beloved fishing pond in the former Nelson Park will remain open to the public thanks to a donation from its new owner.
White River Marine Group, parent company of Tracker Boats, which has purchased the park, announced Tuesday it planned to donate the pond back to the city.
“We’ve proudly built Tracker Boats in Lebanon for more than 40 years, and the community is an important part of our heritage,” said Bass Pro Shops and White River Marine Group founder Johnny Morris in a news release from the company. “We’re grateful to the City of Lebanon for supporting our shared goals of establishing a ‘win-win’ for the city’s quality of life and economic growth.”
