The Missouri Department of Conservation will hold a free prescribed burn workshop from 6 to 9 p.m. Feb. 15 at the Laclede Electric Cooperative.

When used in controlled, supervised conditions, fire can be a beneficial land management tool. However, it’s important to stress that prescribed fire involves planning and on-site management.
The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) will hold a prescribed burn workshop in Lebanon on Feb. 15, 6-9 p.m. at the Laclede Electric Coop building, 1400 E. Route 66.
This free workshop is for landowners who are interested in learning how to conduct prescribed burns properly and safely on their property with the goal of restoring native vegetation and improving wildlife habitat.
