During his annual State of the City address to the Lebanon Rotary Club on Thursday, Mayor Jared Carr says the city has made significant progress on a list of goals that were set by City Council.

Those projects, Carr said, came from a list that was suggested by members of the community in a survey conducted by the city.

Before Carr began to share about where they have been over the past year and where they hope to go, he acknowledged the members of the City Council and city staff.

“The council has a shared vision of progress and has been committed to moving the city forward,” he stated. “The city staff has implemented this vision on behalf of the council … Before continuing, I want to acknowledge our most important partners, our residents, customers, and business partners, who have been supportive of the progress and momentum that is occurring. It is my privilege to proclaim the state of Lebanon is strong and will continue to stay strong as we partner together to continue moving Lebanon forward for success.”

Later on, Carr highlighted accomplishments from the past year and brought attention to some of the ideas that the town has to look forward to.
