Lebanon man dies after exercising at civic center

A 73-year-old Lebanon man died after his daily workout Friday morning at the Kenneth E. Cowan Civic Center walking trail.

According to Sgt. Kacie Springer of the Lebanon Police Department, officers were dispatched at 6:11 a.m. after the Lebanon Fire Department responded to a call outside the Cowan Civic Center near the Mills Center.

The reporting party said he discovered a man on the walking trail who was having trouble breathing.

According to the report filed by the officer, Lebanon firemen began CPR, but the man was deceased by the time the officer arrived on scene.

The man had no health issues and exercised in the Civic Center and walked its walking trail on a daily basis, the report said.
