The Gasconade River Bridge is in danger of being demolished next spring unless a new owner is found, according to a member of the Lebanon-Laclede County Route 66 Society and Route 66 Gasconade River Bridge Guardians.
Guardian board member Judy Wallmark said the bridge, once part of Historic Route 66, is in “imminent danger as it faces demolition, which is scheduled for the spring of 2020 unless we can find a new owner.”
She said Missouri Department of Transportation has implemented a 30-day public review and comment period, which ends July 5.
