Davis says goodbye to LTCC

In his 27 and a half year long career in education, Keith Davis has seen them come, and he has seen them go.
He has seen thousands of students come through the doors of the Lebanon Technology and Career Center. He has seen them go on to satisfying careers in the path they have chosen and for which they have prepared.
Soon, the LTCC will see him go. Davis, currently the LTCC’s director and formerly a teacher there, turned in his resignation, which was recently accepted by the R-3 board. He based his decision to change careers based on the changes about to happen to his current career.
“I think the biggest thing is I’ve met the requirements for public school retirement system, and I just feel like it’s time for me to go to the next chapter. There’s some changes coming down from the feds and the state on the different programs that we offer. I think it’s one of those times that I could adapt, I could change, I could do the programs, but I think it’s just time for somebody new to come in and actually step in and learn a brand new program. Sometimes, it is hard to teach an old dog new tricks. I’m hoping someone could get off on the right foot and get started with that and go from there. I think I’m ready to move on. This is 27 and a half years total, 25 in the district, and I’ve seen a lot of things happen, a lot of changes, a lot off things for the good. I just felt like it was time for me to turn the page and go to the next chapter,” Davis said.
