The community is rallying together following the attempted burning of the giant flag that has been draped over the side of the Laclede County Government Center in honor of Independence Day.
Shortly after the Laclede County Commission offered a $500 reward for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of whoever is responsible for the vandalization, citizens and local businesses stepped up to add more money to the reward and to pay for the flag’s replacement.
On Monday afternoon, Laclede County Office of Emergency Management Director Randy Rowe said the community was quick to step up and offer to help.
