Born to race

Karter Jackson knows a thing or two about racing. Both his father, Kris, and his Grandpa Tim Jackson have sat in a car with the number 65 emblazoned on its metal.
Karter’s ride is a little smaller than the previous two generations of Jackson race car drivers. His is a cage kart that he races in the flat kart rookie division.
So far, he does not have as many trophies as his dad. He is, however, working on it.
“I have two on paper and two gold ones,” Karter said.
Two of these are for second and third place. And since he is still early in his career, he is not likely to give them away to other kids as his dad has done in the past.
“He’s pretty proud of them. He lines them all up, and they have to be in just the right spot,” Krystle Jackson said about her 6-year-old.
He has not yet won a race but said “driving fast” is what makes it fun for him.
