Verba Faye Wolfe

Verba Faye Wolfe, 89, of Lebanon, died Wednesday evening, Feb. 6, 2013 at Webco Manor in Marshfield.

She was born Oct. 8, 1923, near Grovespring, Mo. to Corbett and Mayme Davis Weaver.

In 1967 she married Charles Wolfe, who preceded her in death. She also was preceded in death by her parents.

In addition to being a devoted homemaker to her husband, she owned several laundry mats and stereo stores in Kansas City for several years. She later made her home in Lebanon.

Survivors include a sister, Dottie Ruth Mace, of Grovespring; three nephews, Donald Gene Mace, of Seymour; Larry Mace and John Mace, both of Grovespring; two great-nieces, Doris Moore, of Hartville and Angela Teubner, of Lebanon; a first cousin, Rachel Caudle, of Lebanon, also her caregiver and friend, Nancy Griffin, of Lebanon.

Graveside services and burial for Verba Faye Wolfe will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11, 2013 in the Davis II Cemetery, near Grovespring with the Rev. Ralph Douglas officiating, under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon.

Visitation will be from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.

Memorial donations to the Lebanon Humane Society may be made through the funeral home.
