R-3 seeks input on projects

With the Lebanon Middle School project complete under budget, the Lebanon R-3 School District is looking at more projects where it can utilize the leftover $6.3 million from a bond approved by voters in 2014.

The district is hosting a community facility planning input session at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Maplecrest Elementary School. The school, which houses the second and third graders of the district, was listed as the next greatest need in the same R3-10 Facilities Study that led to pinpointing the Lebanon Middle School as the district’s most imminent need.

“We would love to have a big turnout. We really are interested in hearing from our community to find out if they’re in agreement that the needs are still there at Maplecrest and that we should proceed ahead of schedule with the remaining funds that are available,” said R-3 Assistant Superintendent Dr. Brad Armstrong.
