Oneta Louise Gideon

Oneta Louise Gideon, 75, of Montreal, died Friday, July 29, 2011, at Richland.

She was born May 19, 1936, in La Habra, Calif. to Floyd and Delores Frederick.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Sarah Gideon; a son-in-law Steve Tournay; and granddaughter, Emily Gideon.

On Dec. 25, 1952, she was married to Ralph Gideon.

She was a homemaker, and a member of Buffalo Prairie Baptist Church.

 Survivors include her husband, Ralph, of the home; three sons, David Gideon and his wife, Anita, of Fairland, Okla., Richard Gideon and his wife Kay, and Steven Gideon and his wife, Lisa, all of Montreal; two daughters, Linda Franklin and her husband, Richard, of Montreal, and Brenda Tournay of Lebanon; 14 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Oneta Louise Gideon will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2011, at  Shadel’s Colonial Chapel with Pastor John Book officiating.

Burial will be in Hillhouse Cemetery near Stoutland, under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel of Lebanon.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to service time at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the chapel.

A memorial has been established to Hillhouse Cemetery.
