Man charged after he allegedly threatened to burn down home

A Lebanon man allegedly threatened to burn his wife’s friend’s home down because he didn’t give her “permission” to go there with his son.

After allegedly resisting his arrest, the man now faces a pair of misdemeanor charges. Bobby Eugene Gibbs, 41, is charged with a class A misdemeanor of resisting arrest and a class B misdemeanor of peace disturbance. Gibbs was released from the Laclede County Jail with summonses to appear in Laclede County Court on Nov. 25, according to online court records.
