The Top of the Ozarks Chapter of Bikers Against Child Abuse is looking for new members to continue its mission to help stop child abuse.

The local chapter serves Laclede, Wright, Dallas and Hickory counties.

BACA’s mission is to create a safer environment for abused children. The organization exists as a body of bikers to empower children to not feel afraid of the world in which they live and lends support to children by involving them with an established, united organization.

BACA works in conjunction with local and state officials who are already in place to protect children and strives to send a clear message to all involved with the abused child that the child is part of the organization, and that members are prepared to lend physical and emotional support to them by affiliation and by physical presence. Members stand at the ready to shield children from further abuse.

For more information or to join the local BACA chapter, contact “Bozo” at 532-7120 or at 718-8363.
