Lebanon Police reported a death Tuesday at Detroit Tool Metal Products Ironform in Lebanon.
At approximately 10:30 a.m. emergency services were called to the DTMP facility on Bethel Road for a medical emergency. It was reported that an employee had been found on the floor with a large coil of metal on top of them, police said.
Lebanon Fire, Lebanon Police, and Mercy Ambulance responded to the scene. The employee was pronounced deceased at the scene by Laclede County Coroner Steve Murrell. OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) was contacted and will be investigating. DTMP officials are working with OSHA and the Lebanon Police Department to determine the cause of this incident.
Police said the name of the employee is being withheld at this time until all the family has been notified.
