<span>Elvin Eugene “Gene’’ Fullington, 81, of Hartville, died Tuesday morning, July 1, 2014, at his home.</span>

Geneva Louise Harris, 95, of Georgetown, Texas, formerly of Lebanon, died Sunday, June 29, 2014, in Georgetown, Texas.

She was born on May 19, 1919, at Hazelgreen, Mo. to George Lilburn and Nora Effie Craddock Drennan.

On July 6, 1940, she married Robert Lee Harris.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Lee Harris; a brother, Burlyn Drennan; also three sisters, Lorean Chalfant, Hazel Griffin, and Sharon Kay Vandergriff.

SFC (Ret) Robert Antonio Hurt

SFC (Ret) Robert Antonio Hurt, 73, of Waynesville, died Sunday, June 29, 2014, at his home in Waynesville.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie, of the home; five children, Tammy Martin, of Nixa; Sonja Graffam-Robinson, of Waynesville; Helen Nemetz, of the state of Texas; Kenneth Moore, of Radcliff, Ky., and Thomas Hurt, of Waynesville; 11 grandchildren; a sister, Geneva Averett, of Evansville, Ind.; a brother, Edward Hurt, of Chicago, Ill.; also a number of nieces and nephews.

People who want to help decide how much money comes out of their pockets have only another week to register to vote for the Aug. 5 primary election.

The deadline to register is July 9.

Heritage Baptist plans to rebuild admin building Church's previous facility burnt in November, new facility expected to be bigger and better

After months of conducting administrative business from makeshift offices, one local church is preparing to rise from the ashes.

The administrative building of Heritage Baptist Church burned on Nov. 7, 2013, and consequently had to be torn down. The cause was believed to be electrical in nature.

After months of planning, construction on a new building is expected to begin in the fall.

According to Pastor Kevin Smith, the church will be taking the opportunity to expand on what it had before.

Gertrude Brown Lee

Gertrude Brown Lee, 90, of Marshfield, died Wednesday, June 30, 2014.

She was born on March 27, 1924, in Brooklyn, N.Y. to Joesph and Gertrude (Moore) Steers.

On Oct. 7, 1944, she married Russell Lee.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell; parents, Joseph and Gertrude Steers; a sister, Helen Steers; a brother, Joseph Steers; a granddaughter, Melodie Dinwiddie, and grandsons Adam Willson and Braxton Dinwiddie.
